Roku is getting its groove on to deliver music streaming service Spotify and music video service Vevo to living room TVs via its set-top boxes.

Available only to paying Spotify subscribers on select Roku devices, the new music streaming offering allows users to listen to music and manage playlists. However, Spotify says new customers can try the premium subscription free of charge for 30 days.

"Spotify wants to make all of the world's music available for people to enjoy whenever and wherever they are," Pascal de Mul, global head of hardware partnerships at Spotify, said in a statement today. "Spotify's collaboration with Roku means that our customers now have another convenient way to enjoy the perfect music for every moment on their TVs, which are often connected to the best sound system in their homes."

The new Spotify service is available now in the U.S. on Roku 2 players and the Roku Streaming Stick, with support for all Roku HD and Roku LT players coming soon.

Meanwhile, Vevo is also getting its Roku on, allowing users to search and play more than 50,000 videos from '80s hits to Christmas carols. The new channel is available on Roku 2, Roku LT, new Roku HD (model 2500x), and the Roku Streaming Stick in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
