On September 14, the Department of State issued a travel warning for Tunisia, ordering the departure of all non-essential U.S. personnel. The warning was prompted after the attack of the U.S. Embassy in Tunis.
Any U.S. citizens remaining on the country should exercise extreme caution and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program.
